Foudra MRP reference

New here? Start with the user manual — a narrative from an empty company to running production, opening with what MRP and MRP II are.

This is the reference manual: one page per screen, reachable from the ? button in the top bar of every page. It says what a page is for, what each field means, what values it accepts, and what the buttons do. It is not a tutorial — a step-by-step guide will be built from these pages later.

Conventions used everywhere

Quantities are decimals with up to four places (2.5 metres of tube, 0.012 kg of filament). Money is a decimal with up to four places plus a currency; it is never a float. A dash (—) on a page means not set; the same field is simply blank on an edit form.

Roles. What you can do depends on your role:

Role Can
viewer Read everything
operator …and record stock movements, act on tasks, start and complete work order steps, set workstation status
planner …and create or edit parts, categories, locations, BOMs, routings, sourcing, suppliers, purchase orders, work orders
admin …and manage users and API keys, and approve purchase orders
owner Everything, including billing (when it exists)

Buttons you are not allowed to use are hidden; the server enforces the rule regardless.

Find a part is the box in the top bar of every page (press / to jump to it). It searches part numbers, names, descriptions and notes; a search that matches exactly one part, or names a part number exactly, opens that part directly, otherwise it shows the matching list.

Part fields on forms filter as you type: type part of a number ("504") or a name ("bearing"), then pick from the list that appears. The text you leave in the box must be one of the list's entries, or the form says "choose a part from the list".

Part numbers are category-stock-version — 902-000123-00 — and are structured data: the three pieces are stored separately and formatted per company. Stock numbers are allocated automatically within a category.

Nothing in the stock ledger is ever edited or deleted. A mistake is corrected by a new, opposite movement.
