Import parts
Format
The first row is headers, matched by name (case and spaces forgiven), so column order doesn't matter and extra columns are ignored. The easiest starting point is the CSV export of this list — exports round-trip straight back into imports.
Columns: category_code, name, part_type (required) plus category_name, stock_number, version, unit_of_measure, is_stocked, minimum_stock, maximum_stock, lead_time_days, standard_cost, description, notes. Blank stock numbers auto-assign; decimals are plain digits with up to 4 decimal places; descriptions may contain Markdown (quoted newlines are fine in CSV). NDJSON is also accepted — see docs/import-parts.md.
Imports create new records only; re-uploading a file whose rows already exist reports a duplicate. Updating via import is a later feature.
